Hiland’s Music Ministry provides opportunities for you to draw closer to God and your neighbor through participation in sacred song. When you worship at Hiland, you will hear traditional hymns, choir anthems from various musical genres, and contemporary praise songs—all a reflection of Holy Scripture. Our goal is to invite your participation in our Music Ministry, so you can help others worship more fully. Most of our music also appears on our Vimeo channel online.

Chancel Choir – Our core choir, for ages 16+; rehearses Sunday mornings before worship. This group sings various styles of choral music. Although music-reading is not necessary, be prepared to enjoy learning correct vocal production, listening skills and music theory.

Kristal Bells – Open to entire congregation: you can help perform a Kristal Bell song on the last Sunday of the Month for the Gathering Music. This is a color-coded bell program which is truly a “make a joyful noise” enhancement to worship.

Concert Choir – For age 16+, rehearses November and December, and again for 6 weeks in the spring. This group produces a Christmas Cantata and Tenebrae (Good Friday) presentation. Extra rehearsals with instrumentalists may be scheduled. These groups provide an excellent “limited run” opportunity if you wish to be included in an enjoyable quality music production.

Praise Band – Our contemporary worship band, for age 16+; this keyboard, guitars, percussion and vocalist group assists one weekend a month at the 9:30 am service, plus occasional special services.

Hiland Ringers – For age 16+ Handbell Choir, assists with beautifying worship by adding an artistic third dimension. Although auditions are not required, you will need to know how to count to 4, 6 and 8 (sometimes 12) to participate.

Guest Artists – Throughout the year, you may perform as a “guest artist” (instrumentally or vocally) during the Sunday 9:30 am service. Reach out to Michael Busija for more information.
