 REGULAR SERVICES

Alive @ 5:35 – 5:35 p.m., 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month

Alive @ 5:35 is our contemporary and casual worship service on Saturday night at 5:35 p.m. Guys, take off your ties; ladies, put on your most comfortable pair of jeans; kids, come as you are and join us in this unique and lively worship.

Blended Worship – 9:30 a.m. on Sunday Mornings

Join us for a blended style of worship that respects the desires of all.  It offers a mix of music that includes traditional hymns; anthems that offer any style imaginable; special music that may be contemporary in nature or traditional; contemporary praise songs; and occasional medleys that are comprised of traditional hymns, or contemporary and traditional songs.  Always, you will find music that will lead in worship and be reflective of the message of that day.  Also, the first Sunday of the month includes the celebration of Communion.  After the Children’s Sermon,  children ages four years old through second grade are welcomed to remain in worship with their families or to join their peers in Children and Worship which coincides with the Sunday Worship service. A nursery is available for the littlest ones (infant through three years old).

FOR THE KIDS

Children and Worship after the Children’s Sermon during Sunday Worship (Sept. – May)

Children (*3 years old – 2nd grade) are excused after the Children’s Sermon to attend Children and Worship, a multi-sensory approach to telling the stories of the Bible. They share prayer time, sing and respond to the story they hear by drawing and creating pictures. Once a month they have a “feast” as the church family celebrates Communion. (*3 year olds must currently be in a 3-year old preschool program.)

Summer Sunday School (June 6 – August 29):

Children (*3 years old – 2nd grade) will be excused after the Children’s Sermon and go to the Choir Room for a lesson from “Journey with Jesus,”  a snack and music. Children may be out on the playground (weather permitting) enjoying God’s creation but for the most part will be in the Sanctuary building. (*3-year olds must have participated in a preschool program.)

Welcome to Hiland!
Hiland is a church with a rich history and a promising future. For more than 200 years we have witnessed to the Lord Jesus Christ in our worship, fellowship and service and we look to the future with a renewed sense of vision and mission to the North Hills and beyond.
We are a congregation dedicated to Christ, devoted to one another and determined to make a difference in our world. We know that God calls all of us to be part of the body of Christ and blessed us to be a blessing. It is my prayer that the Lord will bless you through the people and ministries of Hiland Church!
